The town of Murfreesboro, Tennessee has been a hot bed of football talent for many years now, and much like a powerhouse program, the city continues to reload its talent pool. The next weapon in the Rutherford County arsenal is Blackman (Tenn.) running back Master Teague.

As a result of the talented backfield of Blackman, the 5-foot 11-inch, 200-pound speedster saw limited action in his sophomore season. Even though he had a lighter workload, Teague shined when he was called to carry the rock and his production was more than solid. Teague only had 37 carries in his sophomore campaign but accounted for over 350 yards rushing. Despite his limited action, Teague has some big-time individual and team goals for the 2016 season.

“My personal goal for the upcoming season is to be a leader for the team, and to also rush for 2,000 yards. The goal for my team to win every game, and hopefully win a state championship,” said Teague.

Teague has breakaway speed that makes it hard to believe he will be caught from behind in the open field. He has been hand timed as low as a 4.49 on the 40-yard dash. Teague also has worked hard to pack on roughly twenty pounds of body weight since the start of the 2015 season, which has resulted in some powerful numbers in the weight room. The Blackman product is benching over 300, squatting 450, and power cleaning 290.

Outside of his speed and strength, Teague believes his running style is his greatest attribute. “The strengths of my game are that I take care of the ball, and that I run hard. I try not to let one man bring me down. I am a down hill runner and I try to get to the end zone as fast as possible,” said Teague.

Teague currently does not have any offers on the table, but this is sure to change soon with the abilities that he possesses. Teague plans to step foot on the Bowling Green campus for the first time summer while showcasing his talents to the WKU staff during the prospect camp. He also plans to camp at Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, and MTSU.

In the early stages of his recruiting process, Teague already has his mind made up on what he is looking for in a school.

“I am looking for where I feel most comfortable. For example, great education, great facilities, great coaching, family atmosphere are all-important to me. I want to go somewhere that can push me to be the best,” said Teague.
